RE

  Year 1 children are learning about how God created the world. The children enjoyed the creation story and understood why we prayed on the 7th day.

This week, 4K enjoyed working collaboratively to discuss and create a mind map of how we can be stewards of the Earth in RE

This week in RE, 4F learnt about Laudatory Si’ and God’s call to all to be stewards of creation. They worked in teams to create mind maps of global and local environmentally friendly actions.

3B learning about Islam as part of our RE topic “Dialogue and Encounter”.

  The Children listened to the story of Peter’s escape from prison, and acted it out in groups. As a class, we reflected upon the meaning of the story and had a discussion on what the story can teach us.

Year 1 wrote beautiful prayers, inspired by Blessed Pauline Jaricot. They prayed for personal intentions and for the wider world.

3B designing “Welcome” posters after a Caritas lesson about refugees for Refugee week.

In RE, we have been learning about what the disciples did once they received the Holy Spirit. We also reflected on what we could do to spread the good news of the Lord, just as the disciples did once the Holy Spirit was with them.

This week in RE, the children were drawing the picture of Moses talking to God as the burning bush and explaining how it is linked to The Last Supper.
