Caretaker


Start Date: March 2025

Salary: Level 3 School Facilities, Grade D: £29,763.00 to £31,074.00

Hours: 36 hrs p/w, 52 weeks per year

In preparation for forthcoming retirement of our much-loved caretaker, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated Caretaker who will play a key role in further enhancing our school site so that we have the highest standards in safety and cleanliness to welcome the whole community. 

 About you: 

  • Are you someone who is reliable, proactive, hardworking and flexible with a positive outlook on life? 
  • Have you got good organisational skills – with the ability to plan, schedule and evaluate your own work? 
  • Do you take a genuine pride in your place of work- have you got DIY skills and the ability to competently carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating? 
  • Can you demonstrate good inter-personal skills with all members of our school community – children, parents/carers, colleagues, governors and the many visitors that come to St Catherine’s? 
  • Do you enjoy learning new skills and keeping up to date with procedures? We will need you to be jointly responsible for Health and Safety on site, and that includes security and maintenance systems. 
  • Are you able to use a PC and operate ICT software? 
  • Are you committed to being fully involved in all aspects of school life at St Catherine’s – upholding our Catholic ethos and values on a day to day basis and at special weekend and evening events too?

 Shift Pattern: 

Monday to Friday: 07:00 to 12.30 (break 10.00 to 10.30) 

16.00 to 18.15 

Further ad-hoc overtime hours will be necessary for occasional evening meetings and PTA events at the school.

Inclusion and SEND Lead


Required: Easter 2025

Full Time position

Salary Range: MPS/UPS (Outer London) Plus SEN Allowance, dependant on experience

Number on roll: 477 Age 2-11

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion Leader to join the staff team at St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School.

Our inclusion leader will work regularly alongside support staff, teachers and senior leaders. They will contribute significantly to our educational provision and to our school community.

Job Purpose

The role of the inclusion leader is to ensure that our school actively promotes inclusive practice and fully supports children who have special educational needs and disabilities. The inclusion leader will have responsibility for implementing the school’s Inclusion/SEN policy, under direction of the Head Teacher and Governing Body. They will lead the strategic development of the school’s SEND provision and will have oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy, with the aim of raising SEND pupil achievement.

The skills and experience we’re looking for:

 We are looking to appoint a creative, experienced and enthusiastic Inclusion Leader who:

  • has the vision, interpersonal skills and expertise to lead inclusive provision across the whole primary range
  • has or is willing and capable of completing the SENCO qualification
  • is an outstanding teacher, with high expectations and standards and can use these to raise standards
  • has an understanding of a wide range of strategies to support children’s mental health and wellbeing
  • has a good knowledge of teaching English as an additional language
  • is passionate about school attendance
  • has an innovative and exciting approach to learning
  • has the ability to reflect on and develop their own practice and that of others
  • is willing to play a key role in the development, delivery and enrichment of our curriculum
  • is a well organised and proactive team player who will make a positive contribution to our school team
  • will support the Catholic ethos of our school but does not have to be Catholic
