Could you be our new school Receptionist and Admissions Officer?

St Catherine’s are looking to recruit a job share Receptionist who would also be solely responsible for the school admissions administration at this busy VA school for 3.5 days per week, working Monday to Wednesday 07.50am to 4pm and Friday 07.50am to 12.30pm (26.66 hours per week) term time only (39 weeks per year).  We are a friendly and welcoming two-form entry primary with a positive working environment and a strong Catholic ethos.

We are looking for someone with a friendly, calm and patient manner, tact and diplomacy to manage the smooth running of the Reception area and be the first point of contact for all visitors to the school. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to deal sensitively with a range of children, parents and visitors.

Your attention to detail and administration skills need to be outstanding.  It would be desirable for candidates to have previous experience of admissions administration, particularly within a VA school.

You will need excellent IT and interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and remain flexible in a busy school environment with varied demands.

Teaching Assistant Required

St. Catherine’s is an outstanding, warm and friendly school with a strong caring ethos.

We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team at St Catherine’s from 8.30am – 3 45pm (0.5 hour lunch) for 5 days a week, initially on a one year contract, supporting a SEN child (KS1 or 2) or working within an Early Years or KS1 class. You must have sound knowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning.  You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of a team.  Previous experience of working with special needs children and running intervention groups is essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
