This is an amazing opportunity for two inspiring Class Teachers to join our teaching team, one full time from September 2024 in Key Stage 1, one full time for one term only from April to July in Year 4. The successful candidates will have experience of teaching across at least one key stage previously. We are also happy to hear from ECT teachers.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant


Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: Grade D £28,272 to £29,583 FTE

Hours: 8.30am to 3.45pm Monday to Friday, 33.75 hours per week, term time only.

Basis: Offered as a one year contract initially.

We believe in developing children with the skills to be great learners through a broad, balanced and creative curriculum.

We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at St Catherine’s for 5 days per week, from 08.30 to 15.45 daily (33.75 hours per week). This position is offered as one year contract initially and will commence as soon as possible. Candidates should have experience of, or a passion for, working with SEND children and be willing to work across the whole primary age range.

 

You must have sound knowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning. You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working with special needs children and running intervention groups would be useful. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

We are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the team at St Catherine’s for 5 days per week, from 08.30 to 15.45 daily (33.75 hours per week). This position is offered as a one year contract initially and will commence as soon as possible.

You will need to have a Level 3 qualification or a similar amount of experience and should have carried out a Level 3 TA role before and have previous experience of covering classes on an ad-hoc basis. You must have sound knowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning. You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working with special needs children on a one to one basis and running intervention groups would be useful. You need to be willing to work across all the age phases here at St Catherine’s (Nursery to KS2). You will need to be comfortable to cover classes for teacher absence across EYFS and Key Stages 1 and 2. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
