RE

This week, we made seed bombs as part of Laudato Si’ Week.  We used seeds, compost, flour and water to create these. We had fun!

Year 1 have been busy learning the story of Pentecost, where they reflected on the significance of the arrival of the Holy Spirit. Their artwork shows symbols of the Holy Spirit like fire and the dove of peace.

In RE, we planned what we are going to write in our newspaper article about Easter. We identified key words and phrases that we could use and organised our ideas.

3B learning about the Dignity of Workers in our Caritas social teaching lesson.

We have been working hard this week to create a new RE display for our classroom. We learned about the events that followed Jesus’ resurrection when he spent time with the disciples once more fishing by the lake. We re-told the story in our own words.

This week in RE, the children enjoyed role playing a scenario of the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

3B literally making links in RE! They were learning about how the last supper, Road to Emmaus and Jesus’ last visit to the apostles link with mass.
