Why should you get involved in the PTA?
As parents, you are automatically a member of the PTA…it’s free!
Our PTA depends on a continual cycle of parent involvement. As children reach their final year and leave, so do their parents. The teachers and school leadership support us when possible, but without all your help, we have no PTA, so WE REALLY DO NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
The PTA is a mixture of parents that work together for the benefit of the children at St.Catherine’s. Some are full-time parents, some work part-time or work full-time. The PTA works best when we have a lot of people, all contributing even the smallest amount of time.
Taking an active role with the PTA can really help with your child’s success and enjoyment of school.
How can you get involved in the PTA?
All parents/carers/grand-parents are welcome in the PTA. It’s free to join! Simply attend one of our meetings which are always on the school calendar, or download the Volunteer Sign Up Form below and hand into the office in an envelope marked “PTA”.
There are many different ways you can help with the PTA, whether you have lots of time to offer or just a few hours each term, every little helps. No experience necessary!
Some of the main committee roles are time-consuming, although also very rewarding. If you can’t commit to a big job, look out for things you can do less frequently like running a stall at one of our faryes or baking for a Cake Sale.
And you can always support PTA events by simply turning up, by giving suggestions for improvement or events, and encouraging others to get involved. It’s better to have lots of people doing a little bit each!
