This half term, each class in Key Stage 1 and 2 has begun to take part in the Caritas ‘Rooted in Love’ project during RE lessons. The project aims to promote Catholic Social Teaching in schools. The them of this half term was ‘Care of Creation’.
The children have really enjoyed exploring the issues around climate change. They learnt how all humans are interconnected by sharing one common home. The children also thought about their role in caring for the environment. Year 5 and 6 were tasked with writing persuasive letters to convince readers to become stewards of creation and produced some fantastic work.
