Year 3 Virtual British Museum Lesson

Year 3 were very excited today to join the Museum of London live on Tuesday for a virtual workshop, where they showed us the findings of some archaeological digs from the Stone Age, Bronze Age and the Iron Age. We were shown many things, such as the real jaw of a woolly mammoth, a handaxe, the head of an arrow, a hammer, a pot, a Bronze Age sword and some of the first money ever used! We also learnt all about the Havering Hoard: who discovered it, what was in it and about the different theories of how it got there. We were excited to ask questions directly to the Museum of London to find out more information about this interesting find.
