This week in Computing, the Year 4 children had the opportunity of being taught by a Computing specialist! The children used data loggers to record sensors, such as light, temperature and sound around the school. Thereafter, we went on a walk around the school to test and measure which areas would be the brightest or darkest, coolest and warmest, and the quietest and loudest. Once we came back into the classroom, the children uploaded the data from the logger onto the computing software, EasySense. After, they selected to transfer the data onto a graph, where they could analyse and record the times of when it was the brightest and darkest, coolest and warmest, and the quietest and loudest. The children thoroughly enjoyed this lesson and worked collaboratively in groups to test, measure and record their findings.
