Y5’s Cooking Workshop

As part of our design and technology objective this half term on cooking and nutrition, the Year 5 children took part in a cooking workshop directly linked to our current topic on allotments.

The workshop provided our children with invaluable hands-on experience in preparing and cooking a vegetable soup and soda bread, while also exploring the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits. Through this cooking activity, the children understood where our food comes from and how it can be used in various culinary creations.
