This week children in KS1 and KS2 learnt about the work CAFOD does across the world. This year CAFOD are encouraging everybody to complete a Lent Walk. Laura Ousley, World News Officer at CAFOD, explained how the funds raised through activities such as this contribute to the lives of people as far away as Liberia. Money raised by CAFOD will pay for life jackets, GPS monitors and ice boxes to help fisherman provide not only food for their families but also creates a thriving economy and an income in small villages. This improves life opportunities for their children. More information on a St Catherine’s Lent walk will follow after half term.
