Pupils, parents and staff at St Catherine’s will be putting their best foot forward for charity as they take part in the CAFOD Big Lent Walk. As a school community, we would like to help fight global poverty by walking as much as possible.
During the school day at 10am on Thursday 21st March Reception – Year 6 will be participating in a 2km walk around the local neighbourhood to clock up the kilometres. We would encourage every family to sponsor each of their children to participate in this and donate using our Just Giving page. We will be asking for volunteers to help so we will send around a SchoolPing form to collect responses early next week.
We would also like to encourage families to get walking at the weekends. All funds raised will be donated to CAFOD (Catholic Agency For Overseas Development), the official Catholic aid agency for England and Wales. CAFOD works around the world to bring hope and compassion to poor communities, standing side by side with them to end poverty and injustice.
Thank you in anticipation of your support!
