On Wednesday our girls’ football team exited the Barnet central cup away to last year’s league and cup winners Livingstone. It was not our day and Livingstone run out 4-1 winners to progress to the semi-finals. The score line isn’t a true reflection of the game as we were in the game until Livingstone pulled away with two late goals. Our focus now switches to the league and the John King Cup in what still looks to be an exciting 2024 for our girls’ team.
This match brought an end to a busy few months of football here at St. Catherine’s with 9 games being played so far, between the mixed A, mixed B and girls’ school football teams. We have accumulated 6 wins out of those 9 games and scored an impressive 36 goals along the way. 2024 looks to be a promising year for all our teams at St. Catherine’s. Thank you to the parents involved for all their support so far this season.
