This week, Year 5 and Year 6 participated in their final MyBnk money session focussing on ‘Fuel Finance.’ The children talked about energy bills and how they relate to the cost of living crisis. They looked at the difference between fossil fuels and renewable energy sources and where the majority of our energy is sourced in UK. They then completed some group activities, including one where they looked at different ways to reduce energy usage and the cost of essentials such as food, to reduce overall living costs. Children found out what frequently used appliances in the home are the most energy consuming, and what can be done to reduce usage for these items. Unfortunately, 5G did not have their session this week, this will be rescheduled in the next few weeks.
