This week, Year 5 and Year 6 participated in a MyBnk money session focussing on ‘My Future.’ The children looked at saving and borrowing money, including common debts in this country such as mortgages. Children were introduced to the concept of the two types of interest, AER and APR. The children learned the importance and consequences of picking a bank, based on their interest rate and how it can affect what you can earn or owe. Children then created their own savings goals for the future, through consolidating everything they have learned until this point.
