On Friday 13th October it is Just One Tree Day. Just One Tree is a non-profit organisation that supports reforestation organisations around the globe, focusing on areas severely affected by mass deforestation. Their partners work with communities that are committed to restoring their forests.
Through training, education and employment they are lifted out of poverty, whilst simultaneously improving the environment. Last year your efforts added 356 trees to the St Catherine’s forest, so our forest now stands at 640 trees, which will remove almost 200 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over the next 25 years.
In order to show our support of this fantastic organisation, we are asking the children to come to school dressed in an item of green in exchange for a £1 donation (payable on ParentPay). Thank you in advance for your donations.
