Online Safety – 27/09/23 – Digital 5-a-day

As part of our online safety focus in school, some classes have looked at the digital 5-a-day. This is a really useful way of ensuring that our device use is positive. It focuses less on the length of screen time and more on the quality of screen time. Devices have provided children with a way to complete school work, catch up with friends and family and have fun! However, it is important that they are reminded of how to use devices in a healthy way. The Digital 5-a-day outlines this and helps children stay safe online and protect their mental well-being. The Digital 5-a-day is:

  • Connect
  • Be Active
  • Get Creative
  • Go To Others
  • Be Mindful
