On 2nd December, we will be holding a ‘book in a box’ day. We are asking the children to bring in a shoebox
with several items that represent a book, or a scene from book, that they have read recently. This is not a
competition and there will be no winners on the day, but the purpose of this is to increase book talk in the
school. The children have been reading so much this year so this will be a great chance to share their most
loved books with their classmates.
On the day, the children will be given the opportunity to talk about the book that they have chosen to represent, as well as explore other children’s boxes. This will be a wonderful way to share what has been read and
to seek inspiration for new books!
