UNICEF UK RIGHTS RESPECTING SCHOOL GOLD AWARD

As of January 2018, there are 379 Gold Rights Respecting Schools.  Our name is now on the unicef.org.uk website along with the other primary and secondary schools who have achieved this. Our Gold Award banner is now on display. The Gold Award is the highest level of the Award and is granted to schools that have fully embedded the principles of the Convention into their ethos and curriculum.  The accreditation is valid for a period of three years. This means that at St Catherine’s we will be continuing to embed these principles. Talking to the children at play times and lunch times we found that our children in a Rights Respecting schools feel – safe in school, respected by  the adults who care for them and engaged within their education, their local community and the global agenda. Be proud!
