Reception class have been exploring and using different media and materials. This half term we have been busy looking at the work of Frank Bowling, mixing primary colours, constructing using different resources and using glue and masking tape to join materials. we have also been make props for our role play.

The children first designed their houses and thought carefully about the measurements. They had to create nets of 3D shapes- cuboids and prisms, carefully measuring the lengths to make sure they would match up. They then cut and folded these together to make their houses, before selecting materials to decorate them with.

We have been busy creating. Reception class have used a variety of materials and tools to create mini theatres, poppies, bracelets, puppets, binoculars, bags, spiders and treasure boxes. The children have added their names to their work and are using their phonic knowledge to write a label for their work.
