Tuesday 6th February is Safer Internet Day. The theme this year is ‘Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online’. This year at St Catherine’s we invite all parents and carers of children from years 2 to 6 to join their child for their online safety workshop in school. Please see your Ping messages for more information on dates and times and for the link to sign up. It would be wonderful if as many parents as possible could attend as we believe it will be extremely beneficial for developing both yours and your children’s online safety knowledge. As well as this, there will be a virtual parent online safety session. Please look out for the link sent via Ping. You have until Sunday 11th February to take part in the session. The parents who joined last year gave very positive feedback. The session will provide you with an insight into the wide array of apps, games and websites that children are using, including the latest online trends for children. As well as this, they will also cover what children are taught in school about online safety and what you can do to make children safer online.
