Last Friday, Year 6 had the privilege of visiting the Barbican Centre. This opportunity enabled them to enjoy several pieces of music which were performed live by London’s Symphony Orchestra. As part of this experience, the children were asked to create their own batons and illustrate what instruments were involved in the songs. Interestingly, this trip has sparked a huge interest in children wanting to now play a musical instrument or join an orchestra. Thank you to the parent helpers who supported the day and to Mrs Draper for organising this unforgettable event.
