Tuesday 7 July 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 03/07/26 We have been enjoying lots of summer themed activities this week. The children had fun creating their own colourful ice-creams, counting the scoops, using shaving foam and adding sprinkles on top.
Tuesday 30 June 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 26/06/26 We have been reading Colour Monster Goes to School this week. The children enjoyed sorting colourful pasta into bottles and discussing which emotion each colour represents.
Tuesday 23 June 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 19/06/26 This week we have been reading Dinosaur Roar. The children took part in dinosaur obstacle course going down the slide, through the swamp, under the trees and along dinosaur footprints.
Friday 12 June 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Learning w/e 12/06/26 This week we have been reading Dear Zoo. The children enjoyed rolling the dice, counting the spots and feeding the animals the correct number of spoons.
Thursday 11 June 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 05/06/26 This week we have been learning all about life under the sea. The children loved playing in our submarine and spotting the sea creatures through the round windows.
Tuesday 2 June 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 22/05/26 This week we have been learning all about insects. We visited the forest school area to look for them under the logs.
Wednesday 20 May 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 15/05/26 This week we have been learning about different transport. The children loved mark making using felt tips attached to the cars.
Tuesday 12 May 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 08/05/26 This week we have been learning about shapes. The children enjoyed exploring different shapes and talking about their properties. They especially loved creating their own design.
Tuesday 5 May 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 01/05/26 This week we have been learning about birds. The children enjoyed counting activities with eggs and egg boxes, developing their early maths skills.
Tuesday 28 April 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 24/04/26 This week we have been learning about farm animals. The children enjoyed covering the animals in the mud and washing them in the soapy water working on their fine motor skills.
Tuesday 21 April 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 17/04/26 We have started learning about how things grow by planting our own sunflower seeds. The children are excited to watch them grow and take care of them each day.
Friday 10 April 2026 2 Year Old Nursery w/e 27/03/26 This week we have been learning all about Easter celebrations. The children took part in the egg and spoon race working on their balance and coordination.
Wednesday 25 March 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 20/03/26 We celebrated St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday. We had lots of fun creating a colourful rainbow using syringes and pipettes.
Tuesday 24 March 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 13/03/26 To celebrate Science Week we investigated what happens to different objects when we put them in the water. The children enjoyed testing which objects float and which sink and shared their observations with their friends.
Tuesday 10 March 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 06/03/26 This week we celebrated World Book Day. We shared our favourite books from home with our friends. We also made a big cardboard cut out of the Gruffalo and painted it brown, adding purple prickles, sharp claws and knobbly knees.
Tuesday 10 March 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Update w/e 27/02/26 This week we have been reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children had great fun practising their scissors skills and giving Goldilocks a haircut.
Tuesday 24 February 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Learning w/e 13/02/26 This week the children created a magic potion with coloured water and flower petals. They enjoyed pouring, ladling and mixing working on their fine motor skills and explored colour mixing.
Tuesday 10 February 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Learning w/e 06/02/26 In 2YO nursery we celebrated National Storytelling Week. We made sock puppets and used them to create our own story about worms looking for treasure and caterpillars meeting friends in the meadow.
Tuesday 3 February 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Learning w/e 30/01/26 This week we talked about the importance of looking after our teeth. The children practised brushing teeth with toothpaste and toothbrushes and shared with their friends how they do it at home with their parents.
Tuesday 27 January 2026 2 Year Old Nursery Weekly Learning w/e 23/01/26 This week children had fun pretending to be firefighters. They drove fire engines, put out fires using spray bottles and took phone calls in the fire station.
