Box Clever Theatre’s performance of Getting There for Years 5 and 6 was a huge success, captivating the pupils with its engaging and interactive style. The high- energy performance followed a group of young characters learning how to navigate the challenges of travelling independently—whether walking, using public transport, or planning safe journeys. Through relatable scenarios and lively dialogue, the show explored key themes such as responsibility, peer pressure, time management, and personal safety. Its purpose is to equip pupils with the confidence and awareness they need as they begin making more independent journeys, particularly those in Year 6 preparing for the transition to secondary school. The actors brought infectious energy and built an excellent rapport with the children right from the start, making them feel included and fully involved throughout. The show was not only fun and entertaining, but also packed with valuable messages, cleverly woven into a storyline that really resonated with the pupils. It had a noticeable impact, sparking thoughtful discussions and encouraging more responsible behaviour when travelling alone. A fantastic and memorable experience for everyone involved.
