On Thursday the whole school celebrated the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day with a lively and colourful street party on our school playground. Dressed in red, white, and blue, the children from Nursery right up to Year 6 came together to have a special picnic lunch, that included sandwiches, savouries, cake and jelly to celebrate this special anniversary. Traditional 1940s music played in the background, helping to recreate the joyful atmosphere of the original Victory in Europe Day celebrations. The event was a wonderful and memorable way to round off of their learning about VE Day.
