The Pupil Chaplains and Rights Respecting Ambassadors from Year 2 to Year 6 came together again on Wednesday for another very productive workshop to plan our school’s Jubilee Year. They prepared speeches and beautiful posters that they delivered to their respective classes, informing them about what the Jubilee Year is and why we are celebrating it in school.
They also thoughtfully engaged in a Visio Divina (‘divine seeing’) prayer session centred around artwork from Ethiopia. The chaplains and ambassadors will help their teachers to carry out this session in their classrooms in the coming in weeks.
The children have been greatly inspired by the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, and we discussed possible local and global scale Jubilee Year pledges that we can implement in school over the next year. They are very eager to get to work in preparation for Jubilee Pledge Day in June. Thank you to all of the Rights Respecting Ambassadors and Pupil Chaplains for your enthusiasm and commitment.
