5G walked to Barnet Environmental Centre on Wednesday ready to immerse themselves in learning about life cycles. The children participated in pond dipping, which never fails to excite the children. The children learnt about the life cycle of insects and amphibians. We found and identified creatures such as dragonfly nymphs and learnt about the process of metamorphosis. The children had a fantastic day with their friends and its wonderful to see them responding to Pope Francis’ Laudato Si where he asks us to care for the natural environment and all people and discovering the relationship between God, humans and the Earth.
