Friday 19 June 2026 1H Weekly Learning w/e 19/6/2026 This week 1H enjoyed a special music afternoon when they were able to enjoy a series of musical activities based on our current London topic. In my activity we used stretchy Lycra whilst following the tempo of a song called "Floating Down the River" as well as learning some other action songs. We also learned a fabulous song about the River Thames and the children learned the Lambeth Walk.

Friday 19 June 2026 1P Weekly Learning 19/06/26 This week the children learnt all about different types of money from a visitor from Museum on the mound. The children then created their own coins.

Friday 19 June 2026 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 19/06/26 In Art we have been looking at examples of Urban Art - often referred to as graffiti. We talked about similarities, differences and pieces we liked or disliked, giving reasons for our answers. We discussed examples we had seen in our towns and thought about whether we considered it art or vandalism. In response, the children produced their own tag artwork in the style of an artist or piece studied.

Monday 15 June 2026 6P Weekly Update w/e 12/06/26 6P took part in a maths challenge, in groups, where they had to build the tallest structure possible using only paper and tape.

Monday 15 June 2026 4F Weekly Update w/e 12/06/26 4F researched the life of famous naturalist David Attenborough which will be used to write their own biographies.

Monday 15 June 2026 3 Year Old Nursery Weekly Update w/e 12/06/26 We have started our topic ’I wonder where they live’. we talked about different animals’ habitat during our forest school session.

Friday 12 June 2026 1H Weekly Learning 12/06/2026 This week in maths the children have been using 100 squares to practice counting up to 100. They looked at the patterns of numbers when counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. In pairs the children played a game where they had to roll a dice and move their counter that many steps on the 100 frame until the first person reached 100.

Friday 12 June 2026 Year 1 French Update w/e 12/06/26 Year 1 pupils made their own vocabulary dice and learnt how to play some games to practise school stationery, responding to the question Qu’est-ce que c’est?

Friday 12 June 2026 4E Weekly Update w/e 12/06/26 This week, 4E learned about stop-frame animation and used iPads to create their own videos showing how we can help prevent climate change

Friday 12 June 2026 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 12/06/26 In Literacy, we explored leaflets from a variety of attractions and identified key common features. We made a list of catchy slogans and powerful descriptions that are designed to persuade people to visit these places.

Friday 12 June 2026 2G Weekly Learning w/e 12/06/26 In Maths, the children learnt how to describe turns using mathematical vocabulary such as clockwise, anticlockwise, whole turn, half turn and quarter turn.

Friday 12 June 2026 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 12/06/26 This week, the children did a variety of different practical activities with money to increase their understanding. They solved various problems with money, one of which was to make certain amounts using the fewest coins and notes possible.
