Friday 5 December 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 5/12/25 In RE, we created a Jesse Tree display. We learnt that Catholics use physical signs and symbols to help them get spiritually ready for Jesus. We chose people or stories from the Old Testament that inspire us and help us during Advent.

Friday 21 November 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 21/11/25 In RE this week, we learnt about the prophet Isaiah and how he showed the people of Judah how important it was to follow God. We wrote letters pretending to be Isaiah to the King of Judah telling him about the important prophecy of Jesus being born.

Friday 14 November 2025 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 14/11/25 This week in forest school the children learnt about how the veins and capillaries transport water around a leaf. The children examined leaves carefully to look for the veins and capillaries and traced these.

Friday 17 October 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 17/10/25 In English, we organised narrative sentences from a story into two paragraphs: the calm beginning setting the scene and then the exciting build up with all the action. It really helped us write our own narratives this week.
Friday 17 October 2025 3FW Weekly Learning 17/10/25 This week in forest school the children continued to learn about predators and prey. They enjoyed making snakes and spiders and thinking about their features.
Friday 10 October 2025 3FW Weekly Learning 10/10/25 Today we spent time learning about our focus artist, Jean Michel Basquiat.
Friday 10 October 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 10/10/25 On Friday 10th October, we discussed how mental health affects how we handle things in our daily lives such as the choices we make, how we treat others, how we behave and how we deal with different situations. We are aware that, just like with our body, it is important that we do things to help our minds to be healthy, be in good condition and feel well.
Tuesday 7 October 2025 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 03/10/25 Today in forest school 3FW were creating Art work from nature and natural forms. The children created predators and prey and described the features they had.
Tuesday 7 October 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 03/10/25 In English, we started writing our recount of our trip to Whipsnade Zoo. We used list adjectives and similes to describe the animals.

Tuesday 30 September 2025 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 26/09/25 In Literacy we have been writing our own non-chronological reports on predators. The children have identified and explored the key features of a non-chronological report, and were then able to incorporate these into their own writing.
Tuesday 30 September 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 26/09/25 On Tuesday, 3MG visited Whipsnade Zoo. They took part in a workshop where they looked at the skulls of animals to work out if they were a predator or prey.
Tuesday 23 September 2025 3FW Weekly Learning w/e 19/09/25 This week 3FW have been researching facts about orcas using non-fiction books and iPads for our non-chronological reports on orcas.
Tuesday 23 September 2025 3MG Weekly Learning w/e 19/09/25 In Maths, we used place value charts and counters to create and compare three-digit numbers. We discussed the variety of ways numbers could be presented.
