We had a wonderful time in our very colourful and interactive Diwali workshops earlier this week. The children were very excited to act out the story of Diwali. They learnt all about the return of Rama and Sita and why Hindus celebrate this very important holiday. They also learnt all about why Diwali is called the ‘Festivals of Lights’ and why lots of families put oil lamps in their homes and watch firework displays during this time. They certainly learnt a lot from this wonderful experience. Maddox in 1F said: “The best part was when we were laughing really loudly like Hanuman!” (the monkey god).
