Children celebrated NSPCC Number Day through engaging activities and interactive games, Year 1 students had been showcase their prowess in understanding and creating bonds with numbers up to 10. The young detectives successfully unravel the mystery of the SpyBot as they skilfully crack the code.

1F had a wonderful English lesson this week to introduce our new story, ‘Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs’. We used our Tales Toolkit to explore the possible characters, setting, problem and solution to the story.

In 1H this week, creativity flourished as students enthusiastically undertook the delightful project of creating pop-up plant drawings. With careful adherence to detailed instructions and under the guidance, the classroom transformed into a lively landscape filled with vivid colours and imaginative designs.

This week the children greatly enjoyed drawing fossils and using their observation skills to make them as detailed as possible. We were so impressed with your attention to detail and concentration 1F! Well done.  

Year 1 students have been engaging in imaginative storytelling by building characters, scenes, and structures with LEGO bricks. It encourages them to create and share their own stories, fostering creativity. Creative LEGO play in Year 1 is not only enjoyable but also a valuable tool for holistic development, and cognitive, social, and physical skills.
