On Tuesday, 3MG visited Whipsnade Zoo. They took part in a workshop where they looked at the skulls of animals to work out if they were a predator or prey.

In Science this week, we shared facts about the Moon and learnt about the Moon’s movement relative to the Earth by acting it out using different sized balls.

This week IP enjoyed a trip to the Barnet environmental centre, they looked for different insects they could see and guessed the age of some old oak trees.

This week, the children enjoyed grouping and classifying animals in Science.

This week in Science we were learning about the importance of eating healthy food. We learned about the different food groups.

In Science, we were inspired by Galileo’s theory about gravity (objects fall at the same rate, regardless of their mass) and carried out our own investigation dropping objects of different weights from a height to see which one hit the ground first or –  if the investigation worked – at the same time! 

  This week, 6S enjoyed being active in their Science experiment where they were investigating what impact different types of exercise has on their heart rate.

This week 3E were learning about light sources. The children decided whether the different objects were a light source or a non light source.
