On Wednesday, Year 4 celebrated their Prayer Service.
They eloquently and articulately spoke about the Catholic Social Teaching value of ‘Solidarity and Peace’. They taught their families and Year 3 about Chirri, a young girl from Kenya, who had benefited from the money raised by CAFOD to help her family out of poverty and explained why we need to show solidarity with our brothers and sisters across the globe. Through poetry, prayer, scripture and beautiful hymns, Year 4 shared their message that “Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called the sons and daughters of God”.
Finally, gave us thoughtful suggestions about how we can be channels of peace and pilgrims of hope in this special Jubilee Year.
