Last Friday our 1st team hosted Monken Hadley in our Penultimate league game of the season. Our boys knew a win would cement us in the top 3 in the league and started the game well dominating the early proceedings. We finally broke through after several near misses through Alfie’s excellent turn and finish into the roof of the net. However towards the end of the first half our early dominance started to fade and Monken Hadley equalised just before half time leaving the match in the balance. Even though we created a number of clear chances it just wasn’t to be our day and Monken Hadley hit us with a late counter attack to take all three points. The boys were disappointed at the final whistle as they knew we had created enough chances to win the game however, we need to pick ourselves up and finish the season off in style on Monday away at Woodridge. Let’s go out on Monday and put in a performance that merits all our efforts this season to ensure we finish as high up the league table as possible. We go again Monday boys!
