During science week the children used the theme of ‘connections’ to look at food chains and food webs at Forest School. Y2 and Y4 were parent blue tits and looked at how things that humans do can negatively impact a simple food chain and how nature tries to mitigate the effect. Year 6 made an impressive food web to demonstrate how different food chains in an ecosystem are interdependent and how one small change can have a devastating effect upon the entire ecosystem.
