Dear Parents,
We have had a great week in year 5: two trips, inflatables day and lots of fantastic learning in class. Please read this week’s newsletter for more information on the trips and photos.
In English, we have finished our newspaper reports about the first men on the moon.
In Maths, we have continued our topic on shape. We have been looking at the properties of different polygons and 3D shapes.
In RE, we have been comparing the similarities and differences between Jewish and Catholic beliefs and visited a local synagogue.
In Art, we used polystyrene sheets to print 4 phases of the moon in groups. Some of you may have guessed they did art due to the state of their uniform- sorry.
Next week:
In English, we will be editing our newspaper articles and starting to look at the genre science-fiction.
In Maths, we will be starting a new topic called ‘position and direction’.
In RE, we will learning about Islam and finding out key beliefs.
In PSHE, we will look at how we spend money and learn about fairtrade.
