Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 4 have loved welcoming back Mrs. Fraser for the remainder of the summer term. We have been getting creative with our underwater dilemma stories and learning all about digital and analogue clocks. Please find your child’s learning and home learning below.
Spellings: This week we will be a revision of the ‘sc’ sound:
Abscess, ascend, ascent, descend, scenery, scissors, viscous, science
Times tables: Please continue to use TTRS and Purple mash to practice your times tables.
English: The children have used their plans to create an engaging dilemma narrative, where they have introduced their main characters and described the setting in detail. Next week, the children will be completing their stories and will be given time to peer assess their talk partner’s learning, in order to develop their understanding of the success criteria.
Maths: Next week, the children will be revisiting how to use bar charts, pictograms and tables and will be interpreting and presenting discrete data.
Reminder:
- Please ensure your child brings a hat and a water bottle with them each day.
- This week is the last week library books will go home for the year. All library books to be returned on Monday.
- Please join us for open evening this Thursday, you will have the opportunity to celebrate your child’s learning and look through all the wonderful work they have completed this year.
- Next week your child will be taking their books home, please provide them with a suitable bag
Kind Regards,
Miss Bonfield and Mrs. Fraser
