Times tables:
We have been so impressed with the children’s engagement with Times Tables Rockstars. In the London Rocks challenges, 3B came second and 3G came third in the whole school! Please continue to encourage your child to use this as much as possible. They should now be able to recall the following at speed: 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 8s and 10s.
Maths
In maths, we are continuing with our fractions learning looking at tenths this week and fractions of objects next week.
Literacy
We will be looking at possessive apostrophes this week. Next week, we will recap direct speech and the sentence types we have learned this year in a creative writing piece.
RE
In RE, we will learn about people who use their gifts to help others and consider what we can learn from them.
Science
We will look at how shadows are formed and find patterns in the way that shadows change.
Art
In art this week we will look more closely at the work of Ben Wilson and recreate our own versions of his work.
PSHE
Our next PSHE lessons will be learning about the different types of family structures e.g single parent, same-sex, foster parents. We will learn that positive family life is about caring relationships and giving love, security and stability.
