Continue to practise the 8 times tables so that your child is able to quickly recall them. Please continue to encourage your child to use times tables rockstars as much as possible. The competition this week is boys vs girls in year 3.

This week, we have used search engines to find information about different famous local people. We considered which search terms would be most useful to find the information we need. Next week,we will use digital mapping.
Science:
This week, we will learn that we need light to see things and that dark is the absence of light.
History:
We will be looking at how a local event had a national impact- Margaret Thatcher as prime minister.
PSHE:
This week in PSHE, we will be learning about the impact of smoking and passive smoking on the body.
Art:
Next week, we will look at urban art such as the works of Banksy and Ben Wilson and how they each have their own style.
Geography:
