Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed creating the foundation for a Norman helmets on Friday, we are looking forward to working on them later this week. Congratulations to 4B who have retained the times table rock stars title for another week! We are noticing multiplication fluency increasing every day so please do continue practising at home. Please see below for your child’s learning and home learning.
Spellings: Our spellings this week will be focused on revisiting homophones. Please practise using these in a sentence at home.
Weather, Whether, Who’s, Whose, Medal, Meddle, Missed, Mist, Team, Teem
Times tables: Please continue to regularly practise times tables at home on both purple mash and times table rock stars. Your child has been set a try it check on purple mash- this is titled ‘Multiplication- Home test’ This test mimics the conditions in place for the times table check in June. Please ensure you are completing this test at home.
English: Next Week we will be looking at features of letter writing by writing our own letters to the queen.
Maths: In Maths we will be working on understanding how to make a whole using decimals.
RE: In RE next week we will be learning the story of Stephen and Saul
Library: Please ensure your child brings their library books back to school every Monday. If they wish to keep the same book for an additional week it needs to be checked out once more from the Library.
Reminder:
- PE days are Tuesday and Friday
- Library books returned to school on Monday
- Jubilee day on Friday
- May Procession will be taking place on Thursday.
