Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you all enjoyed an exciting and restful bank holiday weekend. Congratulations to 4B who won last week’s times tables rock stars tournament! It is lovely to see so many children taking part in their times table practise at home. Please see below for your child’s learning and home learning.
Spellings: Our spellings this week will focus on revisiting words spelt with the ‘sion’ sound:
Passion, Mission, Collision, Diversion, Expulsion, Television, Division, Decision.
Times tables: In school we will be utilising the government resource ‘try it out’ in preparation for our times table check in June. Please continue to regularly practise times tables at home on both purple mash and times table rock stars.
English: Next Week we will be looking at a day in the life of Norman soldiers.
Maths: In Maths we will be working on dividing two digits by 10.
RE: In RE next week we will be preparing for our year group prayer service which is taking place on Wednesday Morning and will be focusing on the Pentecost
D+T: We will be making our own Normal helmets next week. If you are able to donate a small pack of party/regular balloons we would be very grateful!
Reminder:
- PE days will return to Tuesdays and Fridays as of next week.
- Spelling assessment will take place on Tuesdays.
- Please ensure your child takes part in daily times table activities.
- Library books to be returned every Monday.
Kind Regards,
Miss Bonfield and Mrs Nicholaou
