Dear Parents,
We have planned for our St Catherine’s children to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday
27th May and would love for you to be part of the celebration!
You are all invited to come to the school playground at 11:30 am where the children will sing the
national anthem and other patriotic songs reflecting the Queen’s service on the throne.
We will have a crown parade where the children will show off the crowns they will have designed
and created, followed by announcements for the best crown in each year group.
Children will be asked to come to school wearing red white and blue. School lunch will be provided
in a packed lunch form for children who have school dinners. We welcome parents and extended
family to bring a packed lunch to join their children, to enjoy on the school field and playground.
Children can sit with their families and enjoy the occasion.
An ice cream van will be on site so that every child can have a lolly pop or ice cream once their class
is called. When lunch is over, parents are invited to come in to their child’s classroom and carry out
Jubilee themed activities with them.
We hope to make this a memorable occasion for all the children and will need your help and support
in making this a wonderful day for them.
Please would every family make a contribution of £5 per child to cover the cost of the ice-creams,
decorations and the materials needed for the planned activities. An item will be put on Parent Pay
for you to make your contribution. We would love to collect as much money as possible to cover the
cost of running this event.
Your contributions and attendance at this special day will be greatly appreciated.
More information will be shared nearer the time.
Yours sincerely,
Miss M. Kelly
