Prayer Service
Our Year 3 prayer service is on 4th May. Please continue supporting your child to learn their lines so they know them off by heart next week. Some children will not have lines as they will have a part in the choir or orchestra but may have lyrics to learn.
Maths
This week we will be recapping the various different types of money. Next week we will be adding and subtracting money as well as giving change.
Literacy
This week, we will look at how to punctuate direct speech and use this to write our own narratives. Next week we will be writing historical narratives, based on Escape from Pompeii, using direct speech. After this we will start our learning about newspaper reports and building up to writing our own.
RE
This week, we will be learning that Jesus appeared to his Disciples on the road to Emmaus. Next week we will be learning about what Jesus said to Thomas when he did not believe that Jesus had risen from the dead
Computing
In computing, we have been creating code to animate the creation of a fossil. Over the next few weeks we will be creating code to draw shapes on Scratch.
PSHE
This week, we learned about range of different careers and some of the different qualities and attributes needed for those careers. Next week we will be learning about how to manage money by keeping track of spending and saving and why this is important.
Science
Next week we will be examining and comparing rocks in order to classify them based on their appearance and properties.
