Our learning this week and next:
Prayer Service
Our Year 3 prayer service is on 4th May. We sent lines home for the children to learn yesterday. Please support your child in learn their lines so they know them off by heart next week. Some children will not have lines as they will have a part in the choir or orchestra but may have lyrics to learn.
Maths
In maths we have reached the end of our learning on multiplication and division. Next week, we will move on to money.
Literacy
This week, in literacy, we have been looking at Escape from Pompeii and making inferences from a picture from the book. Next week, we will look at how to punctuate direct speech and use this to write our own narratives.
RE
This week, we reflected on the Resurrection and what this means for us. We wrote our own prayers about the Resurrection. Next week, we are learning that Jesus appeared to his Disciples on the road to Emmaus.
Computing
In computing, we have been learning how to code using Scratch. This week and next we will program an animation showing fossil formation.
Geography
In geography, we used maps and atlases to locate volcanoes and the ring of fire. We then used compass directions to describe where the ring of fire is.
PSHE
This week, we learnt how to be first aid heroes and what to do if we were ever in an emergency. Next week, we will be learning about aspirations.
