Dear Parents,
Next half term we will be starting our topic ‘Off with her Head.’ Attached is the knowledge organiser and a glossary for the topic.
This week:
In English, we wrote explanation texts to explain how flowering plants reproduce.
In Maths, we found fractions of amounts and how ‘of’ means multiply (e.g. 2/3 of 24 = 2/3 of 24)
In PSHE, we learnt about respecting differences and similarities between people and recognising what we have in common (e.g. physically, personality, background). We looked at the importance of differences and ways we can respect those differences.
In Science, we looked at the life cycles of pollinators.

Times Table Rock Stars
Please continue to encourage your child to use Times Table Rock Stars over the Easter holidays.
Reading
Children need to read at least 5 times weekly for 20 minutes, this can include you reading to them.
Children can also listen to audiobooks. This will improve their vocabulary and give them ideas for their writing. Through Barnet library you can borrow audio books and e-books via an app called Borrowbox. This is free if you have a library card.
