Year 4 Weekly Update – 11/03/22

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week year 4 have been creating their own Native American themed Myths and Legends, we have been exploring a variety of Native American texts and trying our best to emulate some of the common themes In our own writing, with some wonderful results! Thank you for participating in our World Book Day activities, we all had a lovely day. Please find your child’s learning and home learning below.

Spellings: Spellings this week will be a revision of a selection of words from the Statutory spelling list, this may mean you have already practiced these. Please revise them at home to secure learning and challenge your child to use each word in a sentence.

Accidentally, Arrived, Addressed, Answered, Appeared, Believed, Breathed,

Times tables: Please continue to regularly use times tables rock stars at home. Please focus this week on your 6 7’s and 8 times tables.

English: Next week we will be self-assessing and peer assessing our Native American Legends. We will also be learning more about the Iroquois Tribe.

Maths: In Maths we will be continuing our focus on fractions.

RE: In RE next week we will be discussing the Parables

Reminders:

  • School trip Wednesday Please come to school in full school uniform with a healthy packed lunch and water bottle. Please do not pack nuts in your lunch box.
