Times tables
Please make sure your child is secure in their 3 times tables. Then learn 8 times tables from 1×8 up to 6×8.
Maths
In maths we have been looking at division by sharing and grouping. We will then move on to the 3 times tables and how we can use this when multiplying and dividing.
Literacy
In literacy, we have started to look at writing explanation texts. We will be using fronted adverbials and adverbs to write our own explanation texts about our science experiment on forces.
RE
In RE this week, we are learning about the Last Supper and how this is linked to the mass we hear today. We will consider our reasons for going to mass.
Science
This week, we learned about friction and experimented the friction produced when moving a toy car down a ramp made of different materials. Next week, we will carry out an experiment to find out if all materials are magnetic.
Computing
In computing we will be taking pictures using iPads and learning how to upload these to laptops, create folders and change folder and document names.
DT
Over the next few weeks, we will be making our own moving vehicles. We will begin by designing them and considering which materials we will need.
