Year 6 Weekly Update – 11/02/22

Dear parents/carers,
We have had a fantastic final week and the children have really enjoyed learning all about The Victorians this half term. By Friday 11th February, please make sure that you have logged in to your ParentPay account where you will be able to view two letters. One will refer to a Victorian themed trip that will take place on Tuesday 22nd February and the second letter will be informing you about a small contribution that we would appreciate in relation to your child’s SATs homework books.
The learning for the first week after half term is:
English: Investigating icebergs, researching to write a non-chronological report about them.
Maths: Divide fractions by integers, four rules with fractions, fractions of an amount
RE: To show knowledge and understanding of those actions of believers which arise as a consequence of their belief.
Science: Food chains and webs linked to the Arctic
PSHE: A focus on ‘Peculiar feelings’: some behaviours are wrong, unacceptable, unhealthy or risky.
Spellings: Words ending ent, ency, ency:
residency, frequent, dependent, innocent, patient, interference, sufficient, confident, resilience, convenience, preference
We hope that you all have an enjoyable and restful half term.
Thank you for your continued support,
Year 6 Team
