Dear Parents,
This week in English the children have begun writing their own version of ‘The Tunnel’ by Antony Browne. They have changed the setting of the story and have been thinking about using all of their senses, when describing a setting.
In Maths, the children have been continuing to learn about multiplication. They have been learning the 10,5 and 2 times tables.
In R.E the children learnt the story of the Ten Lepers and how important it is to show our gratitude. They wrote prayers to Jesus about all of the things they are thankful for. In Art the children made their own insect using natural materials. In computing, they took a photo of their insect and learnt how to upload it.

Please note our spelling test is now on Tuesday. Please make sure to learn the spellings and also to revisit them on at least one other separate occasion, as this will ensure they go into your child’s long-term memory. Please also continue to help your child to learn their 5 times table. You may wish to use online multiplication games such as those found at https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button or https://www.timestables.co.uk/games/ to support your child.
Lastly, if your child has a runny nose, we would really appreciate it if you could send them in with a box of tissues for the classroom, as the school does not provide tissues. Thanks.
Kind Regards,
Miss Fielden and Mrs. Whyatt
