Dear Parents,
This week in English the children have begun to write about our new text ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Browne. The children have planned their own version of the story where they have changed the setting. They have also started to write the introduction to their story and they have been focusing on including adjectives.
In Maths, the children have been continuing to learn about multiplication. They have drawn arrays to help them with their multiplication. They have also been learning how to double one and two-digit numbers.
In Science, the children have been learning about materials and why certain materials are suitable for specific purposes. In Art, the children designed an insect that they will be made using natural materials next week. In RE, the children learnt about the story of Jairus’ daughter and reflected on power of belief and faith.
