Times tables (number bonds)

To support our addition and subtraction learning, please practise adding and subtracting within 20. It is really important that the children are able to answer these addition and subtraction questions quickly so that they can access our learning on adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers.

Maths

Next week in maths, we will be continue to two 3-digit numbers and subtract a 3-digit number from a 3-digit number. The children have been using counters and dienes to support their addition and we have also looked at the column method.

Literacy

In literacy, the children will be writing letters.

RE

In RE, we will be learning about the meaning of Advent.

Science

We are learning what plants need to survive and how water is transported through plants.

The children will continue to use the computers to recreate their information books about the Stone Age. They will explore how to make their presentations more exciting in PowerPoint.

Geography

In geography, we will be looking at what land in Barnet was used for historically. We will be excavating St Catherine’s in an exploratory dig.
