Times tables
Please continue to learn all 4 times tables up to 12 x 4 at an inreasing speed. To challenge your child, they could try recalling the related division facts. E.g. 12 ÷ 4 = 3 They could then recall the multiplication and division fact families for each times table.
Remember to use Purple Mash games and activities to support this.
Maths
Next week, we will continue our work on subtracting a 3-digit number from a 3-digit number, starting off with no exchanges and moving on to an exchange. Then move on to estimating answers and checking strategies.
Literacy
We will move on to planning and writing our narratives based on the story Stone Age Boy.
RE
In RE, we will be learning about the Mystery of the Incarnation.
PSHE
We will continue to use circle time and class discussions to consider what bullying is and how we can be a good friend.
Computing
The children will continue to use the computers to recreate their information books about the Stone Age. We will look at how to copy and paste images and how to successfully use search engines.
Art
We will use different techniques to create parts of our Nativity costumes as well as beginning some Christmas art.
Nativity
Thank you for your support in getting costumes ready. As in our email yesterday, the year 3 children will need to wear black trousers or leggings and a white top. We will need these costumes in school by next Wednesday 1st December. We have also attached the song Allelujah from our Nativity if your child would like to continue to practise at home.
